WIP Wednesday
Here is my second installment of WIP Wednesday. I alluded to this quilt top in my first WIP post. I actually finished it a couple weeks ago, but I haven't had time to take pictures. As previously mentioned, I followed this pattern from Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
I wasn't so precise about my measurements, so my top isn't a perfect square (I'll get actually measurements when it's complete). I made most of the top with fat quarters I had in my stash. Only the blue in the corners are not FQs, though the fabric is from my stash. I used it to make these napkins last November. I also didn't have enough fabric to make the strips on the sides different widths, so I did them all the same. And I didn't have enough of the purple fabric for all 4 sides, so I used some yellow from my stash to set off the fourth edge.
The backing is made. Now I just need to bast, quilt, and bind. I think for this one I'm going to try a self-binding. We shall see...
My only other update is that my zig zag quilt is almost complete! It's quilted and the binding is ready - now I just have to get it sewn on and my first donation for 100 Quilts for Kids will be ready!
